While the darting world are looking towards the potential of another Luke Littler and Luke Humphries Premier League final, the world No 1's thoughts have not moved to that just yet.
​​​​​​Humphries and Littler head to London's O2 arena facing Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price respectively in their semi-finals for the chance to face each other once again.
Littler took glory in their 2024 Premier League final bout, famously hitting a nine-darter, with Humphries getting revenge in 2025.
While the world's top two are used to meeting each other in finals, Littler is not taking for granted the Welshman in his way.
Indeed, he admitted he would have actually preferred to face Humphries in the semis.
"Most important for myself is just making the final. Making three consecutive finals would mean everything to me," Littler said.
"I am focused on winning that semi-final and getting to another final.
"Hopefully if I get past Gez (Price) I will have a break, get to watch the other semi-final.
"It would be good (to face Luke Humphries) in the final'. I think everyone is probably bored of me and Luke meeting in finals, but we are one and two so we are going to meet in finals."
"I would have rather faced Luke [Humphries] in the semis," Littler added to Your Site.
"Obviously, if I beat him last week in the semi-final, then I would have played him tomorrow night. but it is what it is."
Littler has won his last eight meetings with Price, a statistic that should make Littler the clear favourite.
'The Nuke', however, does not think that will affect 'The Iceman'.
"I don't think it will be in the back of his mind," he added.
"Tomorrow isn't necessarily fresh but it is a semi-final.
"I expect the best from him. I play well against him all the time and he plays well against me."
It has been well documented that Humphries heads into Finals Night as the most in-form player, making it to the last four finals in the Premier League in a row.
But does that make him the best player in the world at this current moment? Not according to Littler who is looking to make it 17 semi-finals in a row that he has won.
"I didn't know about that record (on the semi-finals) but now I do, it is a boost," Littler said.
"It would mean everything to get this trophy back. It was my first major win and hopefully I can get that trophy back.
"If you are No 1, you are the best in the world no matter what. You are No 1 for a reason but it is a semi-final."
When looking at the head-to-head between Price and Littler, they are very much in the latter's favour as he has got six wins out of six over the Welshman in this year's Premier League.
Price says that those statistics do not matter and it comes down to how he personally performs.
"I don't think it matters. There have been opportunities for me to win and I have slipped up," Price said.
"If I play anywhere near my top game, then I will be in there."
"The last couple of times I know I've fallen short and there's opportunities where I should have won, like in the past for Michael [Van Gerwen], but what better place to do it than here in The O2 Premier League finals night," he added.
"I just feel like it's going to be my time."
Price has not been involved in too many tournaments in the build-up to Finals Night and while he admitted he wished he had played in more for preparation purposes, he says the schedule just sometimes does not allow.
"You can't play in everything. You would just absolutely burn yourself out. The schedule is absolutely hectic and if you did play in everything, you'd never be home," he added.
"You need to give some time to the family as well as your job, and that's what it is - it's my job and it's the way I earn a living. I'll turn up as much as I can, but there are definitely days where I need to take a rest."
The Premier League concludes at The O2 arena, London on Thursday May 28 as table-topping Littler plays Price in the semi-finals, and Clayton faces Humphries in the race-to-10 legs with the final a race to 11.
