Hull KR ran riot with eight tries and picked up their third straight win in Betfred Super League with a comprehensive 46-0 victory over Toulouse.

Elliot Minchella opened the scoring early for the visitors and though he had another try chalked off on review, Rhyse Martin was able to run through and make it 12-0 after Toulouse failed to deal with a high Mikey Lewis kick.

Rovers doubled that scoreline with tries either side of half-time, firstly Tyrone May handed it off for Dean Hadley to run over the whitewash before Joe Burgess strolled over to make it 24-0 three minutes after the break.

Things were beginning to get ugly for the hosts as last year's Grand Final winners ran in a fifth try. Lewis easily punctured the weak Toulouse line and handed it off for hooker Jez Litten who touched down.

The away team showed no mercy and punished Toulouse when they tried to spread the ball left, Peta Hiku intercepting the pass and running the length of the field to dot down.

Lewis showed his quality and darted through the line again to set Jai Whitbread in for Rovers' seventh before Burgess added his second to round off a dominant evening and condemn Toulouse to their sixth successive defeat.

Leigh returned to winning ways in the Betfred Super League with a hard-fought 18-6 success over York.

Adrian Lam's side had won one of their last four matches in all competitions before coming out on top at the LNER Community Stadium in what could be a decisive moment in their campaign.

Gareth O'Brien and Xavier Va'a traded first-half tries before Adam Cook's penalty put the visitors into an 8-6 half-time lead.

Josh Charnley and Jacob Alick-Wiencke crossed in 10 second-half minutes to help the Leopards grind out victory and climb up to 10th in the table.

Both teams were locked on two wins from their opening seven games of the season before kick-off, with the Knights one spot above their opponents in 12th place by virtue of a better points difference.

Injury-hit Leigh welcomed some of their wounded back for the trip to North Yorkshire but still had the likes of David Armstrong, Umyla Hanley and Bailey Hodgson on the sidelines.

One of their returning stars was former York winger AJ Towse, who was crunched as he collected an early testing kick on his return to his boyhood club.

Towse produced a brilliant last-ditch tackle to deny Scott Galeano before the away team took the lead in the 14th minute, with O'Brien finishing a slick move when stretching for the line.

Leigh thought they had their second score when Edwin Pape's grubber kick ricocheted off the legs of two home defenders and team-mate Frankie Halton before Lachlan Lam dotted down the loose ball, but it was eventually disallowed for offside.

That galvanised the hosts, who went up the other end to level the score through Va'a's powerful drive under the posts.

York's try scorer was sin-binned in the 29th minute for a shoulder charge, with Cook knocking over a routine penalty for the Leopards to regain an 8-6 lead which they took into the break.

There were few clear-cut chances in the second half before Towse had a brilliant chance to score but a superb covering challenge managed to dislodge the ball during the winger's acrobatic attempt in the left corner.

This sparked Leigh into life and they grabbed their second try of the night in the 56th minute after Charnley crossed in the right corner following a slick passage of play.

Alick-Wiencke then barged past some tentative home defence to record his side's third try, with Cook adding his third kick to put the visitors 18-6 up.

Paul Vaughan was held up short on the away try-line as York fought for a way back into the match inside the final 10 minutes, but Mark Applegarth's outfit fell to a fifth successive Super League defeat.
